Define Normal

Not me . .
Heaps of papers testify
Sad sonnets
Striking
Straight and laced
Assuming submissive posture

No doves of pity please
Sadness was punished
Along with it’s function to discourage

I suppose madness is my normal
My fitting habitat
My rational animal
My aging suitor

‘Can I trust you‘ – Madness asked
I replied – ‘Surely, the bond between us is chemical’

You are my grateful kidney
My lawful loveless bed
My promiscuous silence
And the sanest part in my head

My madding normal

  1. Marisa… I read the title in the email notifying me of this post, and when I saw “Define Normal” my first thought was, “No thanks, I’d rather not…” Then I saw your first line “Not me” which was an echo of my thought, and I smiled and smiled while I read the rest…. then such a…. so very much more than normal…. picture! Very big smiles now… thanks… :-)

And by the way, you look adorably cute in the picture! :-)
