  1. There is such a longing in the hearts of men and women to belong. To be defined in such a way by others, by scriptures, by institutions and authorities, and through these definitions, to find validation. The type of validation that brings no real peace at all, but agitation.
Doubts can be very difficult to face. So we reject them. And embrace our “truth” as the only truth. A very exclusive world view, isn’t it? The greatest shame is it, I think, that we come not only to exclude strangers, condemning people we have not even met, because they do not fit into our proper categories.
Beyond that — for some, anyway — this exclusive view of self rejects even those we should strive to care for. And understand. And nurture. Our children. Our families. A faith that arises from the quiet that embraces truth is a faith worthy of the soul. A faith expounded and exported and demanding of obedience and bullying and posturing — this is a divisive “truth”. Something to be very cautious of indeed.

  2. :-) Excellent…. “you and me against the world, eh, baby? Ripping out our hearts to put on paper….” I love the last line, totally….”Where poems welcome the spirit to listen evermore.” Exquisite….

  3. True love is a Spiritual love, which is all embracing, inclusive of all…unless the words were meaningless, “love each other as you would love yourselves…in itself its says see with spiritual eyes, not worldly eyes and love with a spiritual heart, not a worldly one, otherwise you will miss the individual creative beauty in each other, missing out on the pure blessing each can bring into our lives helping us grow and blossom moving closer to the creator’s image!
