Clotheslines

Darling it’s me
Waiving goodbyes
You know I collect postcards
And clotheslines from Amsterdam

Here is my childhood
For you to take
This paper image against my chest

Placing it there
Where letters lay
Warming my live skin
Levitating this wait

Plush is us
The longevity that dares
Movements depth piercing commands
Articulating flawlessly

Fascinating the soothe
The lovers-root
Undisguised inviting who belongs
Whose mouth forever whispers

Owning our respiration
The touch of our health
Our million acres
Green sniffing in prairie delight

What I am trying to say is
I admire myself
Because of you
Dividing my worst
My seen pain

In silence they sleep at my side
Accepting their familiar rest
The consciousness in this soul of mine

My proof
My return
Upright touching skiesĀ
