Ms. Marshall

I must say at times
My laughter panics
It has eyes, and nails

Real, like ghosts
Like bodies waiting to be touched

I must say what they don’t say
While living at the center of a wound still fresh

Your writing inspires me
Inside of this space
Outside of me

Words exploding namelessly
Admiring a woman I hardly know
But know inside my chest

Regarding my more Personal

My blood nicely drifts this morning
Some sort of red bell bloom conspires
Right arm necklacing my garments
She’s in love writing postcards
Full color divinity ink slips her mouth
Shading plastic limbs exhausted
Affirming the resurrection of her tongue
Her first Gods purring the soulful return
Her high heeled abstractions kneeling forgets
Findind the promise in a want . . .

With you darling my feet grow nothing but warmth, thank you.

Layering Humans

Ladies and Gents

United Nations certainly would object

To this Democracy mad hatter of mine

Beneath it all crimson is here showing his worth

Impotently red layering his rummaged fumes

Top coat rushing the high-lighted pansies

Talking depots misleading mixing golds

Primary hues drag so queerly don’t you say

Surely you all know madness is the sheetrock

If these screens surrendered and we touched

I’d have you all here in this now of mine edging for peace

Contemplating what humans do best: Resolve
