  1. Beautiful piece, I am so very sorry of your loss. I do know your pain and your feelings, we as parents should never have to say good bye to our child(ren). I understand that there are no words that can be spoken to you, that makes it any easier. Thank you for stopping by my blog also. Again this is beautiful as I’m sure she was as well. Stay strong, our time will come when we once again get to be with our children. Until than let the sun warm your face and her memory warm your heart.

  2. I do not know your pain but this reminds me of a quote a friend always used to say and really liked. “Whenever someone creates something with all of their heart, then that creation is given a soul.” This piece is beautiful and heartfelt and I’m sure a piece of you and your child is forever engraved in these verses.

  3. I do not know your circumstances but, perhaps sharing the following with you could bring some comfort,
Cory Has Entered Into Peace … Rest From His Strenuous Labor To Save Us All!
    Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 5:12 am
Father! Your ways are far above our ways! I woke up around 2:30 am only to hear the shocking news of Cory’s death! And, once again You have brought me to Your written words that apply to us all at this shocking moment of our lives,
Isaiah 57:1-2 THE RIGHTEOUS man perishes, and no one lays it to heart; and merciful and devout men are taken away, with no one considering that the uncompromisingly upright and the godly person is taken away from the calamity and evil to come [even through wickedness]. (2) He [in death] enters into peace; they rest in their beds, each one who walks straight and in his uprightness.
How true and appropriate are Your words! Cory was a THE RIGHTEOUS man—Cory’s heart was totally set in rescuing his peers from their addictions and setting us all religious & self-righteous people straight!
Cory was my heart and I learned much from him—O how had I longed for the day that he would accomplish his goal and would share his accomplishment with me, but, that was not to happen for Father knows best and it was best for Cory to enter into peace …
His love in my heart for all, thia/Basilia
    Thanks for your visit.

  4. A beautiful memorial. I felt like I was breaking into her personal prayers. Can’t really say why. I’m glad you shared, but it evoked a lot of conflicting feelings. I think you did what every poet wants and that’s to touch the readers hearts.
